The "waste of time registration shuffle".

Ah the joys of school, as I mentioned earlier I got all my courses picked out for this year and was ready to register but I wasn't able to yet. So last night when I finally had a chance to register for them I rushed right over to the website and logged in. I got onto the page for registration and went to select the first term to register for those courses, I highlighted were it said Sept - Dec Semester 05 and I clicked submit, much to my dismay I was taken to a page with a bold statement "You are currently unable to register". Now I couldn't understand how that was possible seeing as how just two months ago in May I went in and filled out all the appropriate paperwork to be a registered student of this fine institute of academia. So I decided to see what could possibly be the cause of this, I assumed there was some fee I had not paid thus delaying my registration. So I checked and I saw that there was a down payment for first semester that was supposed to be paid by new students, I'm not a new student but I hadn't been at the school for two years so I figured it must apply to me too so being that it was already after midnite I decided to wait til morning.

At the wee hour of 8 am the next day I awoke and took the dog out for a pee, then chatted with my roommate Tony for a moment and then it was down to business. I picked up the phone and called my dad telling him my predicament and the need of the $200.00 fee, he said he would be glad to help just go out to see him so he could give me the money. So off I went to see my old man for the money, than it was off to the campus to figure this problem out. I arrived on campus and was immediately reminded of my favorite part of university life,... The girls, here it was not even the beginning of the school year yet there was plenty to see. But alas I was there for a greater good, had to educate myself, so I went to speak with the registrars office. The lineup was short so I didn't even have to wait long, once I got up I explained my problem and she looked at me and said "shouldn't be having a problem everything is fine on my computer here." "Alright then" I said so she pointed me off to the web registration help desk and off I went. The help desk was conveniently located on the other side of campus (of course) once I arrived I waited for a couple minutes and was than given a hand by two nice tech support people one of which was one of those attractive girls I mentioned earlier. So I once again explained my problem and they began to look into it for me after a moment or she looked up and said "oh, it says here you aren't reactivated your gonna need to go to the admissions office".

At this I sighed and got up and began the trek back across the campus to the admissions office, conveniently located across the hall from the registrars office but nowhere near where I was. So I returned back to the other side of campus and went to the admissions office yet again explained my situation and was again looked at and told "everything seems fine here, let me double check with the registrar" so I slumped myself down in the chair and sighed again (for like the 15th time that day, even my mohawk looked like it was sighing) she came back and said "everything seems fine to us let me just call the web help desk". So I sat for a little longer and waited and as she hung up the phone and looked at me I thought, boy another disappointment I wonder what it will be this time. She told me I was to march back down to the web help desk and everything should get straightened out fine. Off I went strutting across campus yet again trying to keep from being distracted by those lovely, pretty, hot, beautiful girls I saw on campus. Finally I arrived once more at the help desk I sat down across from the same two people and looked at them with some cross between annoyance and sorrow and said "So hows about I register now" they looked up and said "It looks good here now but I swear it didn't say that when you were here earlier". I thanked the two of them for the help and left the campus for home so I could finally register, however that adventure is for another day.

Creationism....Honestly?

I have a lot of time to think during the run of the day, the other day my thoughts happened to wander to the constant attempts certain southern states have made to have creationism put into their schools as an alternative to evolution. So I decided to come up with a list of reasons why they should stop doing that. So in no particular order here are my reasons.

1. It's not funny to lie to the retarded
2. Making the statement that at one point they said "the world was flat", is not an argument against the theory of evolution. I'm sure at one point someone said "holding hands can get you pregnant" too.
3. The claim that evolution is just a theory and should be taken alongside other theories such as Creationism is not a valid one. It's only called the "Theory of Evolution" because the name stuck with the amount of evidence that their is for it, it most certainly is not just a theory
4. To believe the theory of creationism over evolution would require you to take the ten pounds of evidence for creationism as true and the ten million tons of evidence for evolution as false.
5. The earth is quite clearly not 5000 years old.
6. If there was a God I'm sure he has to have better things to do with his times than to create billions of years of fossils, just to test our belief in Him/Her/It.
7. I don't care how good the prank is, it's still not funny to lie to the retarded.
8. Creationism as fact would require the Bible to be taken as historical fact and that would just cause a whole new set of problems.
9. The are a lot more different theories of creationism than you would think, which are they gonna teach?, cause I don't think the kids are gonna want to hear all of them.

So that's my list of reasons. I don't want to come out and just say that Creationism makes no sense and anyone that could believe that should come over and see my pet dragon, but I just did.

School is good for the brain (or so I'm told)

I just received my school registration info in the mail recently, and along with it came a big bag of dog vaginas, which it is now using to beat me into a state of frenzied disgust and annoyance. My problem lies in the fact that a number of courses which sound really interesting to me are offered at times which are preventing me from being able to attend them. Two or three of the courses I was interested in are offered at like 2:30 - 3:45 which is a perfectly reasonable time except I work 3 - 11. So I had to spend my time going through the book to find courses which are equally interesting, and helpful towards my eventual degree but they are not the area I'm directly interested in.

The courses I want to take have to do with ancient languages and cultures. The one course I thought sounded the most interesting was on the History of Rome, but It is offered at a time that is no good for me. The problem with the times is that my job probly won't allow me to come in at a time that would allow me to attend the course. Maybe if the course was half year I could figure something out but its a full year two day a week course, so it means that for approx. 72 days of the year I would need to work 5-1 and if they let me it would help but at the same time it would create a whole new set of problems with which to deal with.

Working 5-1 is something I have done before, it's no fun and I can't imagine it getting any better with the prospect of having to get up at like 7 the next morning to go to school. So I guess I'll just work around work so that I can get an education and not have to work this job anymore.

Going To Work Is Like A Kick In The Sack.

Well after a week of being on vacation and having fun with my time, I had to return to the place which pays me for the tasks I complete(and some that I only kinda do but no one notices so they still pay me.). I must say that there is nothing worse than going back to work after vacation, it doesn't matter if you jsut took the week off to relax at home or if you went on some extrvagant vacation going back to work sucks. The only parellel to it is returning to school after winter and summer break.

My job is a lot of work but I'm in a groove with it now so I can generally find a decent amount of time where i have no work that needs done. Also I enjoy my job its just certain people that I work with are annoying and lazy which makes things difficult for me. In general I end up having to work fifty hours a week in order for the job to go smooth, that means 5, 10 hour days, sun-thurs every week. My problem is that I geniunely care about my job and it bothers me when things go wrong while other people just drop their shit and go.

But complaining about it isn't going to improve anything so I guess I'll just enjoy the money it gives me and hope to find something better someday.
Until next time, enjoy the waffles.

An evening with the governor.

Politics, the world if you have noticed is traveling down the train tracks of fear, headed for a big black tunnel of constant danger right beyond the bridge of hiding in your basement eating pickled food to survive. I think me and a friend of mine (Mark) have come up with a solution for this problem. We get all the world leaders together for a big meeting (were gonna have to trick some of them obviously) and once there all in and situated, we have Dr.Phil come in and do relationship therapy for all the world leaders.

I think at the very least it would be hilarious to see the looks on some of their faces. We can even give them all handguns that give an electrical shock if you try to fire just so we can know for sure who the real problems are. Personally I think it would work.

In the realm of my life, I recently purchased a paintball gun and so did several friends. For those who know nothing of the sport basically its little plastic balls filled with paint and then shot at a good hundred feet per second at least so as to be a nonlethal method of shooting all your friends. And here's a warning to anyone who is now interested, just because it's nonlethal doesn't mean it don't fucking hurt like all fucking hell.

I'm outta here for today.

Another year gone, and not a damn thing learned.

Alright then let's get a few things over and done with , Firstly while I am relatively intelligent, I have little too no English skills. Secondly This is my first time doing anything even remotely journal-esque so try not to judge to harshly. Thirdly I curse like a fucking sailor so if you can't handle that move on. well that's all the warnings I feel like giving, so let's get it on!.

My name is Anthony MacRae I am 22 and I live in a tiny little country called Canada (were above the crazy people.). I live in a house with 4 other people and have some very hilarious situations we get into. I work in a giant warehouse and do all the shipping for pharmaceuticals for most of eastern canada.

Well that's all I have to say for right now. I should be back soon with something new.
