I am most definetly done with this crap.

Well my wonderful workplace has done it again, they have once again screwed me. With school coming up I put in a request to make an adjustment to my hours. I requested to go from 5 days a week working 8 hour shifts, to 6 days a week with two 6 hours, one 4 hour and three 8 hours. I waited for a few days and finally on friday I found my request had been turned down because of the way my contract reads. In the contract it says I can work either five 8 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts. The contract however also says that the management decides the number of employees and hours in each shift, and that if an employee is working a shift that is less than eight and more than four hours he gets one 20 minute break. So I made this argument to my boss and he said that he didn't want to start a flood of requests like that. While it is a reasonable point it doesn't make sense in the long run, my shift is the only one that you could work 6 days a week on and no one else is going to want to do this sort of thing. More annoying is the fact that the reason I chose the schedule change was to be able to still get my work done and have time to do my homework for school. So as I was arguing with my boss he suggested that I could go back to part time and do my job and I looked at him and said so your telling me you want me to work the same job for 2 bucks less an hour with no benefits or vacation or sick time. So as soon as I can find a job that I can work I'm outta there and I'm training my replacement completely wrong. Well thats my story for now.
