School is good for the brain (or so I'm told)
I just received my school registration info in the mail recently, and along with it came a big bag of dog vaginas, which it is now using to beat me into a state of frenzied disgust and annoyance. My problem lies in the fact that a number of courses which sound really interesting to me are offered at times which are preventing me from being able to attend them. Two or three of the courses I was interested in are offered at like 2:30 - 3:45 which is a perfectly reasonable time except I work 3 - 11. So I had to spend my time going through the book to find courses which are equally interesting, and helpful towards my eventual degree but they are not the area I'm directly interested in.
The courses I want to take have to do with ancient languages and cultures. The one course I thought sounded the most interesting was on the History of Rome, but It is offered at a time that is no good for me. The problem with the times is that my job probly won't allow me to come in at a time that would allow me to attend the course. Maybe if the course was half year I could figure something out but its a full year two day a week course, so it means that for approx. 72 days of the year I would need to work 5-1 and if they let me it would help but at the same time it would create a whole new set of problems with which to deal with.
Working 5-1 is something I have done before, it's no fun and I can't imagine it getting any better with the prospect of having to get up at like 7 the next morning to go to school. So I guess I'll just work around work so that I can get an education and not have to work this job anymore.
